How a round goes
- One player gets a word and draws it on the canvas.
- Everyone else types guesses in the chat. The first correct guesses score the most.
- The drawer scores when people get it right, so clear drawings pay off.
- The next person takes the pencil and a new round starts.
Rounds are short, so you are never waiting long. You can join or leave between rounds.
You do not need to be good at drawing
The best rounds are usually the worst drawings. A lopsided cat with a hat gets a laugh before it gets a guess, and that is a better start to a conversation than “hi”. If you would rather just guess, you can.
Scores and fair play
- Faster guesses earn more points.
- A scoreboard shows who is ahead and everyone gets a level badge.
- Points reset regularly so new players can catch up.
- Do not write the answer on the canvas and do not spoil it in chat.
Abusive words are blocked and any player or drawing can be reported with one tap. Repeat offenders are banned from the game. It is for adults only, 18+.
Voice and chat
You can chat as you play, and the game supports an optional voice mode for people who would rather talk than type. Prefer a quieter start? Open the Global chat first or use text chat.
Ideas for drawing and guessing
- Draw the thing people would see first, not the whole scene.
- Do not draw words or numbers. It is against the rules and it is boring.
- If you are guessing, say short answers fast. Wrong guesses cost you nothing.
- Pay attention to the drawer’s strokes: the order often gives it away.
Playing on your phone
Scribble works in a phone browser. You draw with your finger, pick colours and brush sizes, and type guesses in the chat bar. There is nothing to install and no account to create. If your connection drops, you can rejoin the next round.
